Five decades in the trade

We've spent five decades sourcing off-the-road tyres for Australian mining and civil construction. We trade every major OTR brand, and the credible mid-tier and emerging brands too.

A tyre that's hard to come by, off allocation, end-of-line, or simply not available through the standard OEM channel is our bread and butter. If we don't have it in the yard, we'll go looking. The supplier network, the brand knowledge and the trading relationships are what let us move tyres other operators can't.

We deal with everything from 24" loader and grader tyres through to giant 63" haul truck tyres. Every TRA service code, every common pattern, every common compound. New and used. Bias and radial. Tube and tubeless.

Questions buyers ask

Are Jewell Tyres prices delivered or ex works?
Ex Works, and exclusive of GST, unless the quotation says otherwise. You carry the cost, insurance and freight from the moment the tyres leave our possession or control. We can organise freight and quote you a delivered price, and when we do, that price is set out on the quotation and covers freight to the nominated site only, not site charges such as mine gate or port handling fees.

How long is a Jewell Tyres quote valid?
Seven days from its date, unless we state otherwise in writing, and always subject to availability. Prices can be adjusted for exchange rate movements, duties, levies and taxes up to the time of delivery.

When do you pay, and when does title pass?
Payment in full is due before delivery, by electronic funds transfer, unless you hold an approved credit account with us. Title stays with us until the price is paid in full, and until then we hold a security interest under the PPSA. Risk passes to you on the invoice date or on dispatch, whichever happens first.

Can you return tyres bought from Jewell Tyres?
Inspect the tyres on delivery or collection and tell us about damage or shortages before you accept them. Other than by agreement, we accept returns only where we are satisfied, acting reasonably, that the goods are defective, and the remedy is replacement, credit or refund at our discretion. There are no refunds for a change of mind or for ordering more than you needed, returns need prior written agreement, and you carry the risk and cost of returning the goods.

What warranty comes with the tyres?
The manufacturer's warranty is the only warranty given on the goods. On request we assign you the benefit of that warranty to the extent it can be assigned, and we help run the claim. Nothing in our terms excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

Can Jewell Tyres guarantee a tyre suits your machine?
No. What we tell you about storage, use, application or fitment is the good faith opinion of an independent trader, not professional advice and not a guarantee of suitability or fitness for use. Confirming the tyre suits the machine, the duty cycle and the site is your call, and specs are worth checking against current manufacturer data before fitting.
