Unrivalled
expertise

We've spent fifty years in the OTR tyre trade. We know the sizes, the patterns, the compounds, the manufacturers. We know which tyres run well on which machines, in which conditions, and which don't.

That practical knowledge is what gets us called when a buyer needs a tyre that doesn't appear to exist anywhere, or when a seller has stock that doesn't fit anyone's standard catalogue.

We deal with everything from articulated dump trucks in iron ore, to underground loaders, to graders on a civil job, to ag and forestry. Real machines, real conditions, real outcomes.

Jewell Tyres has been trading off-the-road tyres into Australian mining, earthmoving and civil construction sites since 1974. Probably still a farmer at heart, founder David Jewell built the business on what mattered most then and still matters now: knowing the gear, knowing the people, and being easy to deal with.

Today that's backed by the things that actually move tyres: the customers, the suppliers, the freight, the pricing knowledge, the database, and fifty years of goodwill. Not a tyre yard. Independent. National. Practical.

What people ask about Jewell Tyres

What does Jewell Tyres do?

Jewell Tyres buys and sells off-the-road (OTR) earthmover tyres across Australia as an independent trader. There are two services: sourcing tyres buyers can't get through the OEM channel, and dispersing surplus, end-of-mine and decommissioned stock for sellers, often as sole-seller on a confidential dispersal. New and secondhand, every major brand, 24 inch to 63 inch rim, trading since 1974.

Which industries does Jewell Tyres supply?

Five sectors: mining, civil construction, agriculture, forestry and industrial. That covers haul trucks, loaders and dozers on iron ore, coal, gold and copper operations; graders, compactors and articulated dump trucks on roads, dams and infrastructure; tractors, sprayers and harvesters; skidders, harvesters and forwarders; and ports, quarries, waste, defence and specialised industrial fleets.

Who pays the freight on an OTR tyre order?

We organise freight Australia-wide and into New Zealand, including remote and FIFO destinations, and the cost runs to the buyer's account. Pricing is Ex Works unless a quote states delivered. Delivered pricing covers freight to the nominated site but not site-specific charges such as mine gate or port handling fees. The detail sits in the Standard Terms on our legal page.

Is what Jewell Tyres tells me engineering advice?

No. Everything evaluative we say is the opinion of an independent trader with 50 years in the OTR tyre trade, not a tyre engineer, and it's general reference rather than professional, procurement or engineering advice. Specifications, TRA codes and databook figures we quote are reference that may be superseded, so confirm them against current OEM data before acting. New tyres are sold subject to the manufacturer's warranty, which is the only warranty on them.
